I mopped the kitchen floor tonight.

To be more precise, I did the wet towel dance on it.

Either way, it looks much better and the fact that I felt compelled to do it, should tell you how bad it was because I have a strong tolerance for filth, if the only way to get the filth removed requires actual effort on my part rather than just telling or paying someone to remove the filth for me. I was truly disgusted by the state of the kitchen floor. Enough to dance on it with wet towels.

Tomorrow I might take on the bathroom sink. Unfortunately I can't dance on that. If you'd like to be paid to come over and remove filth for me, please get in touch.

It's so nice to know I'm not the only one on my f'list whose place is a pit. I feel angry with myself that I want strokes for things that other people just do, without fanfare: Oh look, I did laundry! Woohoo, I took out some trash! Hey, watch this---I can actually sit on my sofa! And I pat myself on the back if my sink stays empty for two days in a row. It's pitiful, but I swear, I'd make a crossroads deal just to get this whole place clean and organized.

I have a similar tolerance. My place is kindasorta clean when it comes to clutter (I'm not a Horders episode) but the dust bunnies have been taken on a life of their own. Mom did teach me to clean, she didn't install the strange desire to look at a speck of paper on the floor or cat hair on my kitty's blanket and think *OMG! A SPECK OF DIRT! MUST DISINFECT ENTIRE APARTMENT NOW!!!*

Good to know I'm not the only one :)

Me! You can pay me to come over and clean your sink for you! I'm actually pretty good at other people's dirt. My own? It can sit there for a bit (days, weeks, months).

It's the same with spiders - I can get rid of other people's but if one's made me jump? There's no way I'm going near it.

Awesome! If you can get here by tomorrow, you can clean the sink, THEN
we can go to the victory parade and THEN spend Halloween night at the Mint.

Well, my husband's driving mt daughter and her other half to Heathrow tomorrow night, and I was planning on going along for the ride. I could stow away and be there the day after tomorrow?
