A working head-set. I haven't had one since they brought in the new phone system. My old head-set wasn't compatible and no-one would just send me a new one. They finally sent me a new thingie-bob that connects the headset to the new phone and voila! Life is Beautiful. Or at least it's a lot easier to work when I don't have do my Richard III imitation in order to try and type or take notes while speaking on the phone. It almost makes me want to answer the calls. ALMOST.

Sharing the headset glee. There's a "Once you go headset" quip here somewhere, but it's way too early for me to come up with it.

I can't believe I let the situation go on as long as it did. I've been a head-set lover since around 2004, when I finally converted from some weird 70's image of my self doing the shoulder/phone thing and taking notes. Then we did this phone switch and I kept asking people to get me a new headset, and it kept not happening and I got stuck in the inertia thing.

Now that I have it back, it's like a whole new work world. Maybe (MAYBE) even fewer errors because less distraction and discomfort.
