RIP Roger Ebert

Roger Ebert dies at 70 after battle with cancer

Presumably Roger and Gene are now back together in that big screening room in the sky.

I will always remember him fondly even just because of his Dark City review and DVD commentary.

Oh, I loved watching them together. No one came close in chemistry, even when they flat-out disagreed with each other!

None of the copy-cats or follow-ups were really worth a damn. (And Michael Medved is human scum of the worst sort.)

I actually met him, at Stacey's books. He was a really interesting guy. We got into a big conversation about Buster Keaton and the Castro theater.
