RIP Joan Fontaine

Hopefully not to be too over-shadowed. And I can't help imagining Olivia DeHavilland cackling in glee somewhere that she managed to outlive her sister and nemesis.

Joan Fontaine, Oscar winner for 'Suspicion,' dies

Very under-rated! Such a classic beauty.

I find that slightly amusing about Olivia - I actually said a while back that I thought Olivia might be the next Hollywood Great to pass. Irony that it was Joan (and possibly Peter counts more). I loved Joan in Rebecca too (and kind of very twistedly ship Mrs Danvers and Rebecca).

Honestly I think it's supposed to be canon at least from Mrs D. I'm not sure if it's more explicit in the book or if it comes from the movie only, though.
