Jointly presented to Steven Moffat, Peter Harness, and Paul Wilmshurst.

At least when RTD did an anvillious message episode, it was a message like War Is Bad or Slavery Is Bad, not some HELLACIOUS ANTI-CHOICE BULLSHIT, clearly stating that abortion is wrong, even to save the earth, and that a woman's CLEAR CHOICE should and can justly be ignored by anyone who has the power to stop her.

I could barely cringe my way through this episode and stared at the screen thinking, "TELL ME they didn't mean that."

I asked Hubby if they were doing what I thought they were and he kept saying, no, it's really about Xenophobia...then the word "Aborted" actually flashed on the screen and he clammed up.

sometimes when I hear some twit of a guy talking about 'murdering the unborn' I wonder if they secretly hate women.
Moffat openly hates women.

One reason I'm so pissed off is I've been trying valiantly to avoid being in the reflexive "Moff is a Misogynist" camp. With this episode going out during his tenure as showrunner, that is no longer possible. WHATEVER else you can say about RTD, this would not have happened on his watch.

I must have missed all that, I was trying to figure out the writer's stance on the spaceflight stuff, like can you really have a dig at the end of the shuttle program and then not give the shuttle orbiter in your story a name? And why weren't anyone's ACES inflated to pressure, especially as the Extra showed the actors actually were wearing LCGs underneath?

As soon as it became obvious to me what was going on and what the REAL theme of the episode was, I lost all interest in the Space Shuttle discussion, since the writer clearly did too.

I must admit that I felt very uncomfortable about the topic and I think the message didn't hit home til a LOT later on. Just...unpleasant.

I was foaming at the mouth as soon as it became obvious what the episode was REALLY about.

I'm glad I don't watch Dr. Who anymore.

LOL! I love coming across random people on LJ's home page. I usually don't comment on strangers' journals, but if it's out there, I figure it's fair game. Especially when it's something as vile as this.

No, it is not your choice (or anyone else's) to murder an unborn baby.

And all the profanity in the world won't change that fact.

It truly is sickening how much females shriek about their supposed "right" to murder unborn infants!

Except that it totally is! Thanks to the blessed makers of Ortho-Novum and possibly a bit of luck, I've never had to exercise that particular freedom, but if necessary, I would, in a heart-beat.

Also thank the deity of your choice (I suspect you're up close and personal with Jesus and his posse) I live in the state of California. No matter what cray-cray may ensue elsewhere, I am confident that my reproductive rights will not be infringed here.

No one has the right to murder infants. But thank you for announcing on the internet that you think you do. It's horrifying, but thank you for being honest.

It's amazing to see the Christophobic bigotry as well. You know nothing about me. I've not mentioned or even implied anything about Jesus, religion or anything of that nature. One does not need religion to tell them that murdering infants is evil.

But again, thank you for announcing on the internet that you support murdering infants and that you'd do so yourself if you had the opportunity.

I'm further happy to announce that I would also do so, regardless of the point in the pregnancy that I became aware of the situation. In other words, I will not be cowed or shamed by the false dichotomy of a "late term' abortion.
