"Children We Lost In Lullabies" TW100 drabble Jack/Gwen

Title: Children We Lost In Lullabies

Warnings: Dark, with references to CoE.



Seeing Gwen with her baby reminded Jack of all the children he’d helped to raise and all the ones he’d abandoned or been forced away from, often for good reasons, sometimes for his own convenience.

He remembered the cherished son he’d been once, and much as he tried not to, he heard the screams of the grandson he’d failed so utterly to protect.

The only way to keep this baby safe was to get them both far away from Torchwood and himself, but that fight was lost the first time he saw Gwen.

Now another child would pay the price.
