Every day he didn’t hear Donna’s laughter or see her brilliant smile made him more aware of his solitude. He caught his own brooding face in an oddly placed mirror and decided to do something about it. Emotional co-ordinates were always risky, but the Doctor was feeling a bit reckless, so he told the TARDIS to take him to “happiness,” and ended up discovering that Euro-Disney was equally misguided in their garish décor and knowledge of the universe. It was most certainly not a small world after all.
