This picture was taken at around 6:30PM. At around 430PM, Maria was sitting at the bar, minding her own beeswax, waiting while her car was smog-inspected.
Meanwhile, Yanni was asking me if the girl sitting next to me at the bar was my friend. I'd never laid eyes on her, since she'd never been there before. So I said, "Well she could be," and proceeded to introduce myself to her, along with Jim, Yanni, Sebastian and Peggy. I asked if she was going to be singing and she said, "absolutely not."
Sometime before the picture was taken, she was onstage with Yanni, singing "You're The One That I Want."
(Apparently she was also quite enamored of my performance of "Rosalita," although I only have Yanni's word on that.)
We hope she will return.
