I spent most of the week downing Motrin and smearing on Icy Hot and emphatically NOT working out and even more emphatically having a bad food week.
Then this week things started easing up. Tuesday I rode my bike to work. Wednesday I went to the gym and did 1/2 hour on treadmill and some crunches on the stability ball. Thursday I walked to work...and late on Thursday my lower back started bugging me. Sort of in the dull ache category. This morning it was up an "ouch," but not as bad as the neck had been.
About 15 minutes ago, I tried to stand up. And YELPED IN PAIN. My lower back, right side is now in screaming pain. For some reason I'm thinking sciatica/pinched nerve, even though I have no idea what those really mean and no idea how I would have done this to myself.
I'm going to try and get up again, so I can go out and get some food, not so much because I'm hungry, although my blood sugar is definitely in free fall, but so that I can gobble some Ibuprofen and hopefully get this situation manageable enough for me to get throught the rest of the day.
