That was the first time she met Mels. By then Amelia had learned to be careful who she told about the Doctor, but she found herself sharing the secret. She’d got used to having Rory as her only friend, but she hoped this new girl might be different.
“Travels in time and space? Really?”
“In a blue box called the TARDIS.
Please, she thought, hoping that Santa Claus still listened to her. Then she saw Mel’s face break into a smile.
“That’s brilliant! Tell me more.”
