"We're All Together" Doctor Who drabble River Song Rating-G

Title: We're All Together
Fandom: Doctor Who
Character: River Song
Rating: G
Wordcount: 100
Notes: Drabble-a-Day 2011. Day 277. Prompt from dw100. Challenge #368-Colour. Written for sharp2799, who suggested River Song and Royal Blue. Unbeta'd. Comments and concrit welcome, including Brit-checking.
Summary: River on a field trip.

“Hello, Sweetie! No ticket, I’m afraid.”

A smile and a wink did the trick. Her décolletage probably didn’t hurt either.

The lads looked a treat in their royal blue jerseys; late 1980’s by the look of the kit. No reason a “research trip” couldn’t include an afternoon at Stamford Bridge. If pressed, she’d explain that she was researching certain rituals involving vegetables, especially celery.

She wasn’t the only one, if that gent in the terraces was anything to go by. River sketched him in her journal, cricket garb, celery and all.

Someday she’d have to ask the Doctor about that.
