"A Walk In The Park" Inspector Lewis drabble Lewis/Hathaway Rating-G

Title: A Walk In The Park
Fandom: Inspector Lewis
Pairing: Lewis/Hathaway (friendship or pre-slash)
Rating: G
Wordcount: 100
Notes: Drabble-a-Day 2011. Day 279. Written for sakinow. Prompt from Photo Prompt Challenge: This Picture. Unbeta'd and bleary-eyed. Comments and concrit welcome.
Summary: Business before pleasure...and pretty much anything else.

The lane in Hinksey Park was lined with trees, their leaves already turning vibrant autumn colours.

He supposed that made them, what was the word, deciduous? It was the sort of thing Hathaway would know and that Lewis rarely gave much thought to. Come to think of it, Hathaway could probably tell him the Latin name of every plant in the bloody park.

Lewis didn’t think he’d mind, if they were merely sharing a pleasant stroll together, but that was not the case. A dead body had been found at the end of the road.

Botany would have to wait.
