What am I doing here? How did I let a first date drag me to the piano bar at the Capital Hilton?
It wasn’t an “episode” anyway. It was a thing. A thing that was never going to work out anyway, for about a million stupid little reasons. Maybe some guys could have handled it, but I ain’t one of them and neither is Colby.
It still hurts and Mr. Smarmy isn’t helping. Maybe another drink will.
Make it one for my baby and one more for the road.
