Title: Senses Working Overtime
Fandom: House MD
Pairing: House/Chase
Rating: G
Wordcount: 100
Notes: Drabble-a-Day 2011. Day 288. Happy Birthday aithlyn. Poetry prompt from sakinow: But thinking of your eyes, dear, I become Dumb: for they flamed and it was me they burned-Edward Thomas. Unbeta'd. Comments and concrit welcome.
Summary: Working for House is hard; getting the job is even harder.

Chase came to his interview prepared to dazzle Dr. House with his diagnostic skills and passion for medicine.

Instead, he found himself stunned into speechlessness by the sight of the man himself, especially those eyes. It was just as well that House didn’t seem much inclined to engage him in conversation. That’s when Chase realized that he was already being tested.

Chase leaned back in his chair to show House he was prepared to sit in silence as long as it took. He knew he’d gotten it right when House flashed the hint of a smile.

“You’ll start on Monday.”
