Poirot never tired of seeing that particular look of awe.
“It is simplicity itself, my dear Hastings. The murderess, she is like Scheherazade. Every night she must tell a tale to keep herself alive. But this story-teller, she could not keep her stories straight and she has ended up with only one possible ending; a trip to the gallows.”
Hastings nodded.
“That makes you the Sheik of Araby, doesn’t it? Will you be creeping into my tent?”
