Hubby is dragging me to see "The Descendants"

I love George Clooney as much as anyone, but not sure I want so see him do heart-warming domestic stuff. It just seems all Oscar-baity and not George being cool, or stealing stuff or being a bad-ass.

I feel I'm being tortured until Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy gets here.

ETA-Not as bad as I thought, but a few seriously implausible co-incidences to keep the plot moving. George gave a very Oscar-baity performance, but wasn't embarrassing about it. Mostly it made me want to get back to Hawaii immediately.
