House listens as Wilson gets out of bed, dresses and leaves the apartment.
It’s a sound as familiar as his own breathing; as ugly as the sight of his scar; as painful as the first twinge that greets him every morning. There’s a wet spot on his bed and a Wilson-shaped dent in one of his pillows.
He tells himself that he’s in control of the situation. Julie’s the pathetic one waiting for her cheating husband to return. House has the smug knowledge that as long as Wilson leaves, he’ll keep coming back.
So why does he feel like crying?
