This is really good news, although there's still the new horrible law in Virginia (and recently passed in Texas as well, I believe) forcing women to undergo a sonogram before receiving a legal medical service.
I was planning to write a very angry piece because of the Virginia law and Komen decision. Since Komen has seen the light, I'm somewhat mollified. I may still need to share some thoughts on the matter, but I don't need to write them in quite the livid frenzy that I was feeling yesterday.
The best part is watching the self-righteous Wing-nuts who were SO HAPPY yesterday getting all pissy because someone saw through exactly how bogus the "investigation" was.
ETA-hllangel has pointed out that there's a bit of weaseling in the decision in terms of "continuing" current grants and letting PP re-apply, BUT to me it's still better than a complete cave-in to the forces of evil. The Wing-nuts are reading it as a defeat, so I'm happy to gloat at their misery that any women might have a modicum of autonomy over her own body.
