Weekend...

Friday night-Columbo episodes, including episodes featuring Laurence Harvey and Martin Landau. Both playing smug snake type killers, but I love Laurence so I was kind of rooting for him. To no avail, of course. The Martin Landau episode also had the fabulous Julie Newmar, playing a sort of hippy dippy 70's LA type who appeared to be stoned in most of her scenes.

Saturday

Brunch at Mozzeria. I really need to give up the Eggs Benedict although it is the most insidious thing ever.

Movie-Jiro Dreams of Sushi.
Awesome documentary in Japanese with subtitles and score including Phillip Glass pieces. Basically 90 minutes of Sushi Porn! 30,000 yen sushi porn.

Movie-Dark Shadows. A lame, stupid, badly written, poorly acted piece of crap. Do NOT waste your time or money.

Dinner at Mels Diner.
They do a good tuna melt.

Came home and watched British Panel Shows.

Sunday

Sleeping in/snuggles

I made breakfast.

Karaoke. Very small crowd so I got to sing A LOT:

A Nightingale Sang in Berkeley Square-Bobby Darin
Manana-Peggy Lee (for which I felt it necessary to apologize to the one Latino in the bar)
Satisfy Me-Frank Sinatra
Let's Live for Today-Grass Roots
Wondrous Place-Billy Fury
Don't Rain On My Parade-Bobby Darin

At about 630PM, I went outside to see the eclipse. Daddy Dave had brought the special glasses to make it safe to look. Very impressive.

Why Does it Always Rain on Me?-Travis (Because you're from Scotland?)

Went home and cooked dinner. Watched episodes of Top Gear and then a few QI's.

Today-since I had the day off.

Doctor's appointment. Girl stuff and to talk about the floaters in my eyes that won't go away.

Clothes shopping. I HATE to do it, but I bought some stuff in my current size rather than the one I' m convinced I will magically revert to any day now.

Lunch at Chow.
You gotta love a tuna melt with avocado and their fries are MUCH better than Mels.

Goddess Nails:

Finished reading Reach for the Top: The Turbulent Life of Laurence Harvey

In a few hours, the pain of watching a once-great show will be over and I can return to my love affair with the characters as they were actually written rather than the hideously distorted caricatures that they were forced into becoming by David 'n' Katie and their flying crack monkeys.

CAMERON!!!

I don't know what they're going to do with her, but I'd still LOVE a H/Cameron moment right down to an ILU on House's part, JUST to fuck with the fandom.

With 2 1/2 hours or so to go, I make my last stand in predicting that Wilson will not die.
