Hosted by Jen Siraganian and Nikki Thompson, this reading at Press: Works on Paper (3492 22nd Street at Dolores St., San Francisco, CA 94110) will feature three local poets: Allison DeLauer, Jen Siraganian, and Zack Rogow.
Allison DeLauer’s poems and texts have appeared in, Five Finger Review, Mirage Periodical #7, The Throwback, burritophile.com, and SFStation.com. She was awarded a residency at the Vermont Studio Center in 2008, and The Caldera Center for the Arts in 2009. Her most recent performance collaboration All I Wanted to Say premiered at The Garage and the Fury Factory Festival in summer of 2011. This work was translated into Italian and performed in Milan and Verona, Italy in December 2011. She earned an MFA from California College of the Arts. She lives in Napa, California.
Jen Siraganian is a poet, teacher of British literature and creative writing, and assistant coordinator of the Lit Crawl, the final night of Litquake: San Francisco's Literary Festival. She earned a BA from Brown and an MFA from the University of Arkansas, and has been nominated for a Ruth Lilly Fellowship and a Pushcart Prize.
Zack Rogow is the author, editor, or translator of nineteen books or plays. His seventh book of poems, My Mother and the Ceiling Dancers, was published by Kattywompus Press in February 2012. His poems have appeared in a variety of magazines, from American Poetry Review to Zyzzyva. He is the editor of an anthology of U.S. poetry, The Face of Poetry, published by University of California Press in 2005. Currently he teaches in the low-residency MFA at the University of Alaska, Anchorage.
