Citizen's Arrest! (in my best Gomer Pyle)

The Grammar Police and Jargon Task Force are issuing an all points bulletin against "Training Manager" of the "Central Operations Group," who sent out an email about the training for the "SOP Overview Training." What are the reasons for the training?

I quote and I promise you this IS sic:

To wet everyone’s appetite for the SOP manual.


SERIOUSLY, Mr. Training Manager? You really don't know that it's NOT "wet" in this context? (Also the idea that you think ANYTHING is going to WHET my appetite for the SOP Manual is laughable, but I digress from my main outrage.)
