I got a flight cleared from waitlist for a client. Advised the admin, did the happy dance etc etc. Then I went to get a seat assignment and because it's Aloha Airlines, naturally I had to call them and they said I did NOT have the flight confirmed. Oh yeah, they see the message I got from them showing it confirmed, but nope, not confirmed.
I tried to say, EXCUSE ME, give me the damn seat, and they're like, so-sorry sold out.
My next step was to call the Help Desk for our computer which is supposed to guarantee that we do get the flights that he computer tells us we have, but someone who said they were very, very sorry, spent some time (allegedly) with their support desk and told that they can only guarantee the original request i.e. the waitlist, but not the confirmation.
I am beyond livid right now and there is absolutely nothing I can do, but try and get the original waitlist cleared AGAIN and hope the client doesn't go ballistic.
This is not making me a happy camper.
