Poison Pen-No, no, no and NO! This cute, 2nd rate, procedural with some quirky characters and allusions to the Sherlock Holmes canon does NOT get to aspire to the gravitas and depth of characterization necessary to support a parental sexual abuse story line and then proceed to basically use it as a justification for murder. I was both disgusted and enraged. And no I'm not the least bit impressed with Sherlock 'reaching out' to the kid as if it were 'character growth.' That's just fridging without the corpse. The equivalence between the kid, the nanny and Sherlock's boarding school bullying was repulsive and bogus.
As far as I'm concerned none of this ever happened. I say it's spinach and I say the hell with it.
Ancient Arrangements-Much better. And no, I'm not least bit upset about Sherlock "stalking" Joan or shtupping her friend. That's all perfectly in character for Sherlock and the correct tone for the show. Of course I saw the solution coming through the Lincoln Tunnel, especially when I heard the atrocious excuse for an accent being used by the actress playing the wife. I practically expected her to call Sherlock and Joan "Moose and Squirrel."
