Pimp-Post for omni_fiction!

Hello there, to new friends and old who may not be aware of this community.

Do you have a fic written for a small or obscure fandom that you'd like give another chance at an audience?

Have you written fiction in a major fandom, but for a pairing that is rare, unpopular, or practically unheard of?

Did you create a fic with some hard-core kinks or adult themes that you'd like to post without having to outline all the possible squicks in the warnings? All you have to do is use one of three ratings: Green, Yellow or Red.

If you have written or are planning to write anything like that, or think you'd like to have more access to those kind of stories, please join omni_fiction. I'm very honored to be the co-moderator along with haldane and we'd like to increase membership and posting. We're very interested in getting more diversity of fandoms. Right now there's a heavy slant toward Torchwood and House, but please bring over fics in any fandom you've written for that doesn't seem to have a "natural home." And please bring yourself.

Hail, hail, the gang's all here! Welcome back everybody!

It sure looks like everybody's back, given the 300 plus posts that have accumulated since my last LJ check on Friday. I owe a lot of comments on a lot of stories. I will get there, I promise. (It behooves a comment whore to be generous with her own favors.)

AND NOW, the dreaded PIMP POST including all the fics I posted in the latter part of December that anyone might have missed or just over-looked in the holiday madness. This will include gift!fics to individuals and my f-list as well as the last time I'll bug you all with my yuletide fics.

F/Y/I-Those who enjoy my RPS and Jools!fic, there are polls open to vote on stories at fryandorlaurie, but you do have to be a member to vote. I've done well there in the past, and hope to do so again, but not as much in a stew about it as you'd think.

Scenes From a Caper

Ocean's 11 fic written for for melissarae

Tons of fun to write, although terrifying as it grew and grew because I wanted to give everybody a little “moment.” Things got seriously weird when Donald Trump showed up.

It’s a long read with no slash, but if you like the movies, I think you’ll enjoy it.

Goodbye Means Goodbye

Written for ignaz_wisdom

A very angsty/UST-y fic with Hawkeye and B.J.

Emma's Friends

RPF-British Comedy (Hugh Laurie, Stephen Fry, Emma Thompson)
Written for melpemone

For those who like my RPS series about Hugh and Bobby, but wish I'd be nicer to Stephen Fry, this might be the fic for you. It takes place during the filming of "Peter's Friends" and refers to lots of the "Cambridge Footlights" gang as well as other friends/lovers/spouses and co-stars. Kenneth Branagh is heavily featured and abused.

Keep your eyes open for a special uncredited cameo appearance.

Jack-fest with David O.

I just had a little mini-Jack-fest with my friend David O. from the Mint. I've suceessfully converted him to full-fledged Barrow-mania via music, pictures and some YouTube clips, but he hadn't actually seen The Captain in action, so I invited him over for some Chinese food and The Empty Child, The Doctor Dances, the shooting lesson scene from Ghost Machine, and Captain Jack Harkness.

He was quite impressed with the acting and of course, THE HOT. Unfortunately there is some rule that anytime I order food to take out, they always omit something. In this case, the prawns with mixed vegetables. As a back-up plan, I reheated some of hubby's linguine pesto, which was apparently most yummy.

I gave him the DVD with Boom Town, Bad Wolf and Parting of the Ways and a warning to keep his eyes out for the NAKED and try to ignore the hair. (I love John madly, but his hair in those eps....SHUDDER!)

(I'm watching New Earth right now,...looking for clues.)
