Puppy Love, String Theory, Karaoke

Spreading the unbelievable cuteness of John Barrowman, Scott Gill and their doggies, including the new puppy.

A joke from "The Black Hole War" by Leonard Susskind:

Two strings walk into a bar and order a couple of beers. The bartender says to one of them, "Hey, long time no see. How are ya?" Then he turns to other string and says, "You're new aroud here, ain't ya? Are you a closed string like your friend?" The second string answers, "No, I'm a frayed knot."

Yesterday was awesome. Hubby actually joined me and Lowell for brunch by going down the stairs on the crutches and taking a cab about four blocks. I felt a little bad for him when Lowell and I started geeking out about Broadway shows and showtunes and I went on a full-bore Barrowmania conversion attempt.

Lowell actually saw John in Putting It Together on Broadway. It was his first date with his partner Herman, and John looked right at them when he sang "Marry Me A Little" so they have warm feelings about him, but Lowell had no idea about all the other stuff, including Who/Torchwood or all of John's West End shows. He had the idea that John was Australian.

After eating at Chow, we took Hubby back home and after visiting for awhile, Lowell and I went to the Mint. Nice small group, so we both got to sing a bunch of songs and indulge in massive amounts of snark. Big Frank was KJing and Daddy Dave showed up to bar-tend after a day in Golden Gate Park seeing the Hardly Strictly Bluegrass Festival. Rockin' Vince, Stuart, Jimmy and a few others were there.

You know you had a good afternoon at Karaoke when you start losing your voice, which I did.

My song list-
The Good Old, Bad Old Day-Anthony Newley
The Coffee Song-Frank Sinatra
She's a Lady-Tom Jones
Young Girl-Gary Puckett and the Union Gap
Rock DJ-Robbie Williams
Can't Take My Eyes Off Of You-Four Saasons
You Don't Have To Say You Love Me-Dusty Springfield

Heading out for a run shortly. This will probably decide if I can do the Nike Half Marathon on the 19th.
Make him stop whining

Crackfic for a Sunday Night -"Accessories" Ianto/Thirteen Rated-R

Title: Accessories
Fandom: House MD/Torchwood crossover
Pairing: Ianto/Thirteen (reference to J/I/G, implied Jack/Martha/Mickey)
Rating: R
Wordcount: 1490
Notes/Warnings: Blame this particular piece of crack on hllangel, who showed me this image from fandomsecrets, :http://i37.tinypic.com/2nqsmqt.png, and pointed out that someone else is known for wearing braces. She also saved this fic from at least one incredibly bad smut cliche. Anti-J/I/Gers might actually approve, but rabid J/Iers probably won't.

Summary: Ianto finds something unexpected at the end of a wild goose chase.
