I don't know how much more of this I can take.

Sunday, Bloody, Sunday....

First of all I had to go deal with Psycho-sis. I went over to the Board and Care to pay them for the Ensure they've been buying because she won't eat the food there. I honestly don't know if the food sucks or she's just being picky, but she looks very bad. Her skin is drying out and I ended up having to rub Aloe lotion on her feet.

It looks like she is going to go back to her apartment, which is a whole other bunch of problems. I'm supposed to be arranging to get her a "I've Fallen And I Can Get Up" bracelet, but I really don't want to have to make the calls and deal with whatever that entails. I'm willing to write checks and get money to whoever it has to get to, but I really feel like either Hubby or one of the social workers should be doing this. Call me a bitch...I'm sure many do, but she's not my sister.

I do have to say that the social workers have been really good on organizing stuff and staying in touch, etc etc.

Moving day is set for Friday, but I can't take time off, so one way or another, I'm going to need to get over there on Saturday and get all her stuff, including the TV set, back to the apartment.

I spent some time up at the Mint, which was nice, although I had an odd encounter with Kay. She's this older black woman, who sometimes appears to be a completely drugged out case, with a bizarre collection of mismatched fashion accessories including a fellow who may or may not be her boyfriend. I mentioned in passing the situation with Hubby and she proceeded to harangue me with a lecture on how I should be celebrating that he was still alive and that if any one tried to tell her not to ride her motorcycle anymore she'd dump them and that even telling her to ride safely was an insult. Blah blah blah. But she was really serious. And this is clearly a woman who has lived through a lot.

I got some sushi and gyoza to take up to Hubby and when I got to Lawton he was in his wheelchair sitting out in the dining area because his room mate was screaming in excruciating pain. I'd noticed some moaning when I left on Saturday, but apparently it got much worse after that. Pancreatitus attack. The screaming, as in "OH GOD SOMEONE HELP ME!!!!" screaming went on for two more hours until they finally called 911 and took him to the hospital.

This was hubby's second room-mate since he's been there and we liked him a lot because he was also willing to use head-phones on the tv. Had his own, in fact. As of yesterday, there was room-mate #3, and we were back to the noise problem. I mean loud enough that we could hear it when we were on headphones. I left my headphones up there and hubby is going to have the conversation with him today, hopefully.

Still no word on when hubby can come home. They've got him working on getting up and down steps with the crutches, so that's a good sign. With my luck, it'll be this Saturday, and I'll have to co-ordinate picking him up with doing the Psycho-sis stuff.

And on top of all that the Desk of Doom erupted in a bunch of bullshit yesterday. Include a few panic attacks where I thought I'd failed to book someone who was leaving that day. I was wrong, but it was still an ugly adrenaline jolt and Steve had to put up with a bit of whinging and whining until everything got resolved.
