Half in the rain

Eleven Minutes and Six Seconds

That is how long the album version of I Heard It Through The Grapevine by Creedence Clearwater Revival lasts. Why is this of interest to the Chelsea Drugstore this brisk morning? Because my weight work-out method is similar to my running/walking method. One song, one body part. It all evens out in the end, because most songs are going to be somewhere between 3 and 5 minutes. However, Ipod shuffle gave me I Heard It Through The Grapevine when I got to the Lat Pulldown machine. Even with two stretch breaks, that is a whole lot of Lat pulls. I expect to the quite sore in that region tomorrow. And who needs that long to play I Heard It Through The Grapevine, especially since a bunch of it is just instrumental jams? Bob Dylan, who came up next, while I was doing biceps, can sing It's Alright, Ma (I'm Only Bleeding) in six minutes and twenty-one seconds and it's got a helluva lot more lyrics.
guv love gene

Reason #1 why 2010 is going to be an awesome year.

I'm going to spend it with the Gene Genie watching over me at the office.

I am now the proud owner of the Gene Hunt calendar, which already has my vacation days for 2010 written down, including The Big Vacation, where I will hopefully be visiting Edinburgh, Glasgow and London.

In 2009, I had a Torchwood calendar, which was problematic and actually involved taping pictures over certain items to avoid nausea, hence my delight in having a whole year of the utterly delicious Philip Glenister.

I have this calendar a bit earlier than I thought I would thanks to the conniving duplicity of drunken_hedghog and hllangel. They are both sneaky wenches and I love them for it.
