Lots of parties at the Mint this week.

Wednesday-Daniel and Tinkerbelle.

I've had fun, just sitting at the bar, working on my NOVEL, doing a few songs and leaving.

Tonight I kicked some serious butt singing Sunset Boulevard. Maybe be as good as I've ever done it.

Chapter 9 is coming along really well.

Worked out with Peggy today. She gave me a nice quick set of core exercises to do on Stability Ball and Bosu and then I did 45 minutes on the elliptical trainer.

Massage yesterday was awesom.

This is the life. I really need to win the lottery or finish this book and get a massive advance along with a movie deal.

Day 02 - A film that is underrated

Murder, My Sweet-1944

This movie lives in the shadow of The Big Sleep-1946, and Dick Powell's performance as Marlowe, which was a revelation at the time, is now considered inferior to Humphrey Bogart's. I LOVE The Big Sleep and I LOVE Bogart's Marlowe, BUT I think Powell is almost better, especially in drugged scene, and this is one of the best film noirs ever. Claire Trevor's performance is as good as almost any noir femme fatale you can name. Really a great film and don't forget the awesome Mike Mazurki. Directed by Edward Dmytryk.
