Things you learn poking around Wikipedia

I was checking out the White Collar entry to see if Peter Burke had an official middle name in canon and ended up coming across this tid-bit about Hillarie Burton, who plays Sara Ellis on the show.

Partner-Jeffrey Dean Morgan
(2009-present) 1 child

I know my f-list is rife with rabid JDM fangirls, but he's just not high in my personal pantheon. However I find the idea that he's officially involved with an actress playing a recurring part on a show I do watch to be highly amusing.

Here's a link with a picture, so you can all know what the "competition" looks like.

To me the funniest part is this particular phrasing: "The couple welcomed son Gus, in March 2010."

I know it's a standard, accepted way of saying "had a baby" but I can't help smirking at the idea of mommy squeezing out the little brat and then saying "welcome." (Unless the phrasing is meant to imply adoption rather than birth?)

15 Movies Meme

Ganked from arkibet

Don't take too long to think about it. Fifteen films you've seen that will always stick with you. List the first fifteen you can recall in no more than fifteen minutes.

Some of these are films I went into more detail on during the Thirty Day of Movies Meme and others are ones that just popped into my head while writing down 15 films as quickly as I could.

Weekend report-Part 3-Sunday

I love this town. This is just a partial list of things that I know were happening this past Sunday:

Hardly Strictly Bluegrass-Day 3
Bridge to Bridge Run
Strides For Life-walk/run around Lake Merced
Castro Street Fair
Sand Castle Building Contest

You know it's been a long weeked when it takes until Thursday to write it up. :)

And more goodies coming up this weekend. We're going to go precinct walking, try and see The Social Network and maybe have brunch with Ivan.

DUH! I forgot to mention the Tory Belleci sighting I had on Sunday

On my way up 18th Street, just in front of Faye's Video. I spotted him with a cup of coffee. At first I wasn't sure because he didn't have the soul-patch or goatee. I looked back, ascertained it was him, and smiled. Then I said "Hi" and "New season starting soon?" He said yeah. I was trying not to be a babbling fan-girl, so I just told him we loved the show and watch it over and over, and he should tell everybody. I didn't pull out the camera, cause I figure he's on his time and doesn't need that crap.

This makes four sightings in my neighborhood. One on Valencia, two at Cafe Petra and now 18th near Guerrero. I'm thinking either he lives in the neighborhood or has a girlfriend who does.

Day 7 — Your Ex-boyfriend/girlfriend/love/crush

Dear Barry,

OK, I get it.

You weren't interested. You were never going to be interested. I had absolutely nothing to offer you. I wasn't terribly attractive. I couldn't sing well enough to get a part in the musicals. I couldn't act well enough to get a part in any of the Masques shows. Even thought I thought I was the cat's meow and the bee's knees in the smart and funny department, there was no way for me to prove the point.

So there I was, obsessed with you from at least the 4th grade, only getting moreso as we got into High School, and there you were possibly even feeling stalked or persecuted or for all I know threatened by the school weirdo. It couldn't have been fun, although I'm sure one level it was good for your ego.

Even if you ended up feeling guilty and hating me eventually. Even if I was completely in the wrong and should have backed off, instead of standing around corridors waiting for a glimpse of you. Even if all that is true...you still could have been nicer about it.

You've had an exceptionally impressive career since then. I can google you and see what stars you're directing and which College you're an artist in residency with. And some day, some day Barry, we will meet, as adults and as equals, and I'm going to ask you what you really thought of me.

I hope you'll be honest enough to tell me the truth.
