Armstrong Drops Fight Against Doping Charges

Lance's official statement.

I'm not sure how I feel about this. I'm almost sure he did SOME doping, but I genuinely believe the situation is so prevalent that it would be virtually impossible impossible to find anyone from the top echelon who didn't. If they strip ALL the titles, then how do we know that the 2nd and 3rd placers who would move up in the record books weren't doing the same thing?

Why now? Why so whiney, Lance?

The only thing I can think of is that the story that broke during the TDF about a bunch of former teammates, including George Hincapie, testifying was true and the fit was really about to hit the shan.

I suspect that somewhere in Germany, Jan Ullrich is smiling.
