Live from Cafe Petra
Because my leeched high-speed decided not to talk to me this morning.
Let's all say prayer of thanks to what-ever deities we may or may not believe it. HUBBY IS OUT OF SF GENERAL!!!! They moved him to Kaiser yesterday. This is such good news. I hate to rag on General. I'm sure the medical teams themselves are great, but it really sucks.
When I got to the Kaiser last night, he was in a private room, with a nice chair for me to sit in and a TV set with a DVD player, so I can bring up some movies today. It just made things feel so much better not to be in midst of on-going chaos. Although the nursing staff seems pretty frazzled, but I think that comes with the territory. I reminded Hubby that this could have been him. It was just a fluke that when he got out of nursing school, hardly anyone was hiring, so he ended up working in substance abuse, which suits him perfectly by history and temperment.
They did a whole bunch more CT and Xrays, but everywhere we went in the hospital felt very peaceful and quiet. So much better, you can't even imagine.
I have to take care of a few errands this morning, like laundry, and presumably I should clean the bird cage. Since he's sort of in and out a lot of the time, I will take a notebook and try to get some writing done.
Thanks again for all the messages of support. You guys are truly awesome.
