I'm sad though. I want to believe in the Hot and Well-Written rule, and for myself regarding I'm sure you know who and what it's no longer true. (At least pairing wise. I'm still proudly bi-fictional.) There's a fic by one of my favorite writers in the fandom and I can tell by the summary it's Hot. But the idea of them in any kind of relationship besides BUFT is too painful. In fact, it makes me unhappy that a writer I love would embrace it. :( Even if it was for an exchange or a challenge. Is this how some of my harder-core slashers feel/felt when I wrote het? Specifically House/Cam, which I know still has the ability to provoke nausea in certain H/W shippers.
If I was ever glib about your pain, I apologize, cause kids, I'm suffering.
On the other hand, the NEXT subversion fic will cut harder and deeper.
My "to read" list is super-duper long, especially the Life On Mars fics from the Fic-a-thon and Porn-tober. I know that comments are a gift and not a right, but I also know how valuable each one is. So there are comments coming for fics. Even if they're many months late.
LJ comments-The gift that keeps on giving.
