Yesterday, I went to the doctor's office and we concurred that it's a recurrence of Reactive Airways Disease. I asked for another Advair inhaler, which had knocked the coughing out last time, although it took awhile to get the hang of using the disgusting thing.
I was hoping she'd give me another free one. Instead she called in a prescription to the Walgreens at 16th and Mission, which didn't get there yesterday so I was up at 430AM gargling hot salt water to get a few more hours worth of sleep. Today I called her and she called Walgreens and made sure it would be there.
So I go over to Walgreens after work, and I was standing on line wondering how much it would cost with my insurance co-pay, thinking $25.00 at the most. GUESS AGAIN. $50.00 people and that's only because my insurance saved me $146.99. The bastards at GlaxoSmithKline are charging $200.00 for this thing.
Something is very wrong here. And scary, considering that I was willing to put my job and health insurance on the line to go on the Squeeeee Odyssey in January. (Ok, I had to get fandom in there somewhere.)
