I liked how House reacted to 12 Steps. I always knew #3 would would be the big problem.
I believe the apology WAS sincere and that's not just my slash-glasses talking.
THE SMILE!!! OH GOD. Is there anything sexier than HL doing his little smiles? Yes there is, and is HL smoking.(As a Jools-luster, I already knew this.) Yeah, yeah, yeah...bad for you...cancer...smelly in real life. But OMG when/if Mr. Laurie shows up at my place on the Triumph ready to take me away from all this, he can smoke his head off for all I care.
And now, my personal WTF moment from "Words and Deeds". It's not the House/Cam hug itself, but what she said just before it...and please correct me if I misheard or am misremembering. "I heard you apologized to Wilson."
Who told her? The only people in the scene were House and Wilson. Is there a missing scene (plot bunny) where Wilson mosies on down to diagnostics to tell Cameron either "Haha, he apologized to me and he still treats you like shit. He loves me and he doesn't love you." or "Wow. House actually apologized to me. I don't believe it. This rehab thing must be for real." Frankly, given where Cam/Wilson were in "Merry Little Christmas" (even if you accept my hate!sex scenario) I find either possibility unlikely. Did "Voldemort" run down and tell her?
Am I completely crazy because these little things drive me so nuts? (I still want to know when Chase wrote House a prescription.)
I thought the court-room climax was rushed and so far from plausible as to be a joke, especially the faked evidence bit. While I like Cuddy to the rescue, it feels like they just re-cycled the climax from "Babies and Bathwater" right down to the jail-house harangue which was kind of a repeat of the speech Cuddy gave in the champagne scene.
I'm happy to see the end of Tritter, but I did like the ambiguity of his last scene. Also, (plot bunny) where's the scene where we do find out WHY he was so determined to get House. (I'd still have liked to find out that there was some kind of set-up from the beginning. Like a tip from Vogler about a doctor at PPTH who was a addict.) David Morse was scary great and some of the Tritter-fic that cropped up was amazing. I'm sure we'll get more as the UK gets the new episodes.
I am glad that my faith in H/W ending up ok was justified. I think "Nothing's changed." means exactly that. Including the pills. Which is fine with me. That's the House I fell in love with
And let's say it one more time...THE SMILE!!!
I'm not happy with the promo and spoilers about House's past. I hate those kind of plots with a passion. I know they've laid some groundwork with how often House is willing to guess that parents have been sexually abusing their kids, but I just think it's cheap writing.
