OK, isn't the line on Wilson, the UR-Wilson cliche, as it were, that Wilson "Needs to be needed." That he's attracted to neediness, and that the people he's attracted to are incredibly needy? It's been made absolutely explicit several times including Bonnie's description of their relationship in House Training.
So where all of a sudden are we getting that all the women Wilson is attracted to are "care-givers?" Yes, we were told he was having lunch with a nurse working in Oncology, but only because she was having a rough time of it. We also saw him being a shoulder to cry on for a woman in Failure to Communicate who worked in the hospital. However, he was emphatically NOT dating Nurse Wendy and we honestly don't know if he ever went on a date with Robin the Hooker or not. Amber was a strong character, but presumably he found her right after she'd been fired in Games, a time when she was vulnerable, which was much more desirable than her doctor credentials. . And don't forget Grace.
It's also been driven home several times that one key to House and Wilson's relationship is House's neediness and Wilson's co-dependency.
So from which orifice are the crack monkeys now pulling "Wilson is attracted to care-givers?"
It's seems like a complete turn-around of his character. Like they've never SEEN the show before.
Am I missing something? Tell me. I'm willing to listen
