Some Random House stuff for a totally out of it Thursday morning.

Memo to Keith Olbermann:

Dude! You know I love you, but the WTF? segment is just not right for your show. For Rachel, maybe, but not you. You're just using it as an excuse to almost say a bad word on TV and the rants so far just haven't been worth the energy. Carrie Prejean is a bimbo, but she's not on the EEEEVIL scale with Dick Cheney or something, and yesterday's thing about the Republicans felt like a rehashed "OH REALLY???" bit from SNL. Bring back "Keeping Tabs" and have Michael Musto on more often. (Oh god! I'm feeling a sudden urge to slash Keith/Michael.)

I had to change one of my passwords this week. I changed it from a Torchwood reference to a Life on Mars reference. That's how fucking miserable I am about what this show is about to to do to Captain Jack. I don't want to have to think about it every time I sign in, even though I pretty much think about it every day, anyway. (All together now, FUCK YOU RTD!)

Goddess Nail Disaster! I lost one last night. So far the underlying, wafer thin nail under the acryllic is still ok, but given that I have to work for two more days before I can get a new set put on, the chances of it not breaking off by then are pretty slim.

I did get into a pair of "skinny" pants yesterday. I haven't been running or working out at all, except for doing about an hour of hill work around Dolores Park on Sunday. I think I'm going to give up the gym membership. It doesn't look like the achey-breaky arm is ever going to get better and until Hubby is 100% better, I won't be able to go to the gym in the morning and it's about $60.00 a month I can do better things with.

I feel very left out of the Star Trek mania. I'm an ol skool Trekker and while I'm conflicted about the whole "re-boot" concept, I'd obviously like to see what everyone's raving about, but it's sort of unlikely I'll be getting out to the movies anytime soon. "Sorry honey. Can't come up to the nursing home today. Gotta go to the Metreon and see Star Trek in IMAX."

I'm now two episodes behind on A2A. ARRRRRRRRGGGGGGHHHHHHHH. This Saturday. I mean it. Before I even check LJ. Watch the damn episodes, so I can go back and read the episode reviews from my F-List.

Bay to Breakers is on Sunday. I'm not doing it. This is the first time in years that I'm skipping it, but there's just no way I can deal with the whole thing right now. The naked people will have to get by without me.

Send your continued appreciation to my co-worker Steve for putting up with me staggering in here anywhere from 15 minutes to half an hour late on a regular basis, probably for the duration of Hubby's convalescence.
