It's a very cute, funny book about this guy reading the Encyclopaedia Britannica.
I've been wanting to read this book for years, since I'm pretty sure I first heard about it on a Booknotes. (Oh, Brian, I miss you so much!) It's a great read and I'm thrilled that I finally did it.
In fact, I'm now working on his follow-up book, The Year of Living Biblically: One Man's Humble Quest to Follow the Bible as Literally as Possible, which is pretty much what it says on the tin.
I just love his breezy, self-deprecating style, as it's very similar to my own prose and out-look on life. Although in the first book, he and his wife are very interested in having kids, which obviously I am not.
Anyway, it's a great read, and I highly recommend.
