Wilson won't say he's sorry to House.
And I thought it was a House MD spoiler, rather than a political piece. DUH! On the other hand, I was reading TV guide while on the elliptical trainer at the gym this AM, so I had a reason to have House on the brain. (As if I don't usually.) That cover picture of Hugh doesn't do him justice, at least hairwise, although the (ahem) cerulean orbs look properly entrancing.
Here's the actual article about Joe Wilson continuing to be a d-bag, by the way.
My favorite part in the House article was the implication that House will be working with FCC as a team. I don't know if that means a Five Man Band with 13 and Taub or if they'll (OH PLEASE DEAR GOD) be shunted to the side and given the minimal airtime that Chase and Cameron were in the last two seasons.
I'm still not sure how I feel about the idea of House detoxing from Vicodin, although it's not clear from the article how much that takes, and one idea I'm getting is that House is NOT going to open up and cry on his shrink's shoulder and expose all his traumas and fears. Halle-bloody-lu-jah. Seriously. If I have to hear ANYTHING about mean Daddy House, I'll whoop my cookies, and I refuse to believe they'll actually revisit the Stacy thing, because THEN they'd have to deal with it and the Cuddy connection.
The two hour season premiere is going to just be House at mental hospital. Wilson makes an appearance but NONE of the other regulars. I'm sure Hugh can carry it, but I'm not sure the crack-monkeys can write something compelling anymore. The House Party will go on however.
It's always hard to tell from these things, but I also get the impression that JUST MAYBE the H/W stuff will be more subtexty and less anvillicious, which as a H/W shipper actually makes me happy. It looks like the House/Cuddy stuff will also go slightly backburner, as something they both want/need but can't articulate, which again, I'm fine with as it's far more in character than "I always want to kiss you," no matter how well Hugh sold that line.
Hugh talks about RSL and himself as Bluesmen doing what they do, but there were no out and out "bromance" *PUKE* references or anything about the H/W relationship per se, except that they do what they do. They talk about a case and House has an epiphany. Again, there's so much that can be read into those scenes without anything actually having to be said about the friendship.
Leave that to those of us who know what we're doing.
As pointed out by topaz_eyes in a recent post, Hugh comes out as thinking the smushname does the pairing no favors, which is cause for a round of the smushname-hating happy-dance.
I need to keep reading Twitter because it helps me avoid my self-destruction addiction to that hotbox of hate and anger on the internet, that is populated by people who stand against everything I believe in. Of course I speak of http://www.lucianne.com
