Re: ABUSIVE BOOKING PENALTY
Dear Travel Partner,
Computerized Reservation Systems (CRS –Amadeus, Travel port, Sabre etc.) users have booking practices that cause extra distribution costs. Speculative bookings cause inventory discrepancies by blocking seats and preventing real passenger reservation requests to be confirmed thus resulting in revenue loss.
Due to new adjustments and changes in the distribution industry a revision was made in March, 2008 to the current procedures. The procedures and penalty charges have been distributed to agents through CRS direct reference pages under “TK Booking and ADM policy”.
Accordingly please be advised that TK will issue abusive booking penalty of EUR35.00 per segment to agencies creating speculative bookings.
Thank you for your cooperation.
