Best. Birthday. Ever.

Or best that sievebrain can remember right now.

Another day of heart-stoppingly spectacular weather. HAIR DAY! Brunch at Joe's. A quick ride into the City. And then....THE PARTY.

beta_goddess, chocolate_frapp Sebastian, Giovanni (co-birthday celebrant), smartmunkey, who made the most amazing lemon cake, a mini Getz-together featuring Dean, Ivan and Bubbles, HUBBY!!!!, Ben the Bartender, Rockin' Vince, who sang "You Can't Always Get What You Want" for the House-fraus, Peggy!!!!, The Donald, Jane, Big Frank, Jim (bartender), Jim (other Jim), Yanni, as well as many regulars and a whole other birthday party who got incorporated into ours.

I sang Is This The Way to Amarillo, Let Me Be There (for Giovanni, who's a big Olivia Newton-John fan, and came on stage to sing the bass part), One Night In Bangkok, and I Like It. Frank and I also did our duet of That Old Black Magic and we final managed to pull off the choreography we've been working on for like 10 years.

Giovanni and Rockin' Vince sang Cliff Richard for me. chocolate_frapp did a kick-ass job on Instant Karma (more House-frau love.) Yanni sang "Maria" substituting my real name for "Maria" at some points.

It was honestly, truly one of the happiest days/evenings of my life. You can tell I had a good time because I'm still hoarse today and a bit sore from all the walking, but I would not have missed this whole week for anything. It's so good I'm still feeling happy, even though I'm back at the Desk of Doom.

Next time I bitch about any aspect of my life...I need to remember I had a week like this.
