"I prefer when he opens with Congratulations"

Which implies that Keith Olbermann actually knows enough about Sir Cliff to know about "Congratulations," which somehow makes me deliriously happy.

The point came up during a segment called "Sarapocalypse" about Sarah Palin's religious beliefs and the idea that she's only pro-Israel because she believes in The Rapture. This was tied into her visit to see the Reverend Billy Graham.

I do think Sarah may be an end-of-days type, BUT I do hate the hint of Graham-bashing that snuck in there. I've always found the Reverend Graham fairly benign amd a-political as religious leaders go, and certainly not in any way in the Pat Robertson/Jerry Falwell mode. He was almost a defender of President Clinton during impeachment. (The son on the other hand...worries me a bit.)

They showed a clip from "His Land" a travelogue/documentary about Israel that Graham produced in 1971, which had Cliff singing a song about Israel. What was especially amusing is that the "Countdown" logo pretty much obscured Cliff's face forcing my pervy attention downward, and the fact is Cliff was wearing some pretty tight trousers. Take a peek.

Cliff's religious convictions and the fact that I believe they are totally sincere is one of the things I love about him and actually find kind of hot. (Like I said...pervy...that and having seen Expresso Bongo when I was a kid. I probably shipped Cliff/Laurence Harvey before I knew what shipping was or that Laurence Harvey was actually gay.)

Meanwhile, on the Rachel Maddow show...Oh Governor Dean. I love you and I'd certainly do you in a heartbeat, but please learn to read the damn teleprompter. Or do a smack-down on who-ever was screwing with you by putting something idiotic on the teleprompter.

Much like Lawrence last night, there wasn't much pretense at "reporting." Basically he told us what was going down from the insider perspective.

Is there a rule that Elliot Spitzer gets to be on once a week these days? (And did I mention I weirded out I felt for Ana Marie last week on the "panel" sitting between Spitzer and Nate Silver? I love Nate, but he still looks like creepy guy in mom's basement.)

Number 1 Producer Guy was back for a run-down of the state dinner...Michelle Obama looked so freaking gorgeous in that dress that even the right-wing bloggers toned down their nastiness at her to 9 instead of the usual 11, and then came the least smooth segue into a book plug ever.

I'm assuming it'll all be ALL LOCK DOWN, ALL THE TIME for the long weekend, but I don't know if that starts tonight or tomorrow.
