The important point, John rocks playing a sexy, BAMF, and clearly shows he doesn't need a specific role and more importantly a specific pairing to be a STAR!!! Sorry, coffee-baggers, if things keep up like this, and he gets some hot hate!sex scenes, the pressure will definitely be on for either American Torchwood or BBC Series 4, with Jack getting some of the omni-action that we've been previously deprived of. Amen and Hallelujah!
On the other hand...what a load of rubbish. THIS is what the night-time soap genre has come to? A candy-selling competition between two uninteresting children and their incredibly unlikeable mothers Unwarranted abuse of a guitar? AND OMG I DON'T KNOW IF I'M A LESBIAN OR NOT????!!!!!!
Drea de Matteo is apparently JUST as annoying as she was on the Sopranos. SIGH.
I love Felicity Huffman and Marcia Cross and I go all the way back to my beloved Edge of Night, but they are both utterly wasted here, from what I could tell based on this episode.
Yeah, it's been a long time since I watched the genre, (unless you subscribe to the theory that House either was always a soap or has become one) but man this is just crap. Give me my old standbys Dynasty or Knot's Landing any day.
I'm not saying they were bastions of either great acting or realistic story-telling, but at least the stories were generally compelling. A candy-selling competition? REALLY?
