I think my DVR deleted last week's episode, but it doesn't seem to have been a big loss.
This is the first time I've been genuinely moved by this show to point of tears and it happened when Artie started singing Dream a Little Dream of Me, although I have to wonder if Tina's dancing was supposed to be appalling or not.
Everything really clicked this week. The featured couples actually had chemistry, meaning Tina/Artie, Rachel/Jesse, and of course what should be the new Alpha couple: Will and Bryan. Matthew Morrison had way more chemistry with Neil Patrick Harris than he has with any of the females they've thrown at him OR any of the existing slash pairings, or even my previous oh-so-wrong pairing of Will/Quinn. Dream On was the hottest duet I've seen so far and I just wanted more and more of them together. (Runner up OTP-Bryan and Sue. Best hate!sex scene ever.)
Plus I actually cared about Artie and Tina and while Rachel is still annoying, I cared about her because Jesse really seemed to. I'm really not crazy about most of the songs from Les Miz (Stars and Master of House are the only exceptions) but Idina Menzel sold that thing like crazy so...I'll go with it.
I hadn't even realized that aside from NPH's guest appearance this was also the episode directed by Joss Whedon. Apparently that's what this show needed to actually get to me. Talent and genius.
Puck, Mercedes, Kurt & Finn mostly MIA this week. Also not particularly missed.
