30. Final question! Tag someone! And tell us what you like about that person as a writer and/or about one of his/her characters!
1. Tell us about your favorite writing project/universe that you've worked with and why.
In my current period as a fanfic writer there are two "verses" I work in that have brought me the most pleasure.
The first are my Hugh Laurie and Robert Sean Leonard RPS stories and the second is anything I've written featuring the inimitable Jools Siviter
In both cases, I think I've done some of my best writing, mostly out of pure love for the characters, while using what know of "canon" to create my own worlds and fanon and expansion of the characters. For Jools, it's especially Jools/Danny trilogy, where I had Jools being one of the most manipulative bastards under the sun. I was so IN LOVE and LUST with Jools when I wrote them, and to this day TMI AHEAD, he still features heavily in my fantasies, exactly as I have him in the fics...and moreso.
For Hugh and Bobby, I think I took the bits and bobs of "reality" that the boys gave us in their tv and print interviews and wove a whole saga of love and sex and cheating and angst. (Sometimes I'm tempted to scratch the serial numbers off and try to make a real novel out of it, but I don't see how you de-Fry Stephen enough to create even an iota of doubt as to who I mean and then the rest of the charade falls apart.)
Writing Hugh and Bobby also brought me many of the people who are still my LJ friends, even though there was also the controversy that gave me my first mention on Fandom Wank. This way to the wank!
I still have no qualms, apologies or compunctions about writing RPS, and while I'm not tin-hatted enough to believe any of it happened, I think it reflects a reality that could have happened. I'm especially proud of my "Uma." I had so much fun making her the Ur House/Wilson shipper, especially when I felt the show was screwing up the ship and Uma was my medium for expressing that.
It should be noted that another reason I loved writing Jools and Hugh/Bobby so much, was my extremely close collaboration with
