It wasn’t his first wedding, probably wouldn’t be his last, but this one was different.
Lucia knew he couldn’t die and would never age much in her lifetime. He’d been completely, even brutally honest about the fact that there would always be others. He’d even told her about the Doctor, and she insisted she’d let him go if the time came.
Jack listened to the familiar tune as he watched his beautiful, pregnant bride come down the aisle, and let himself hope that they’d still be friends at the end.
He’d like to bury a wife who didn’t hate him.
