Here's the list
29. How often do you think about writing? Ever come across something IRL that reminds you of your story/characters?
Pretty much all the time. Either for my original stuff or fanfic. I'm still fending off more plot bunnies than I know what to do with. It's less that real life reminds me of existing stories as that I try to convert my life into fiction.
And just to finish this thing off....
30. Final question! Tag someone! And tell us what you like about that person as a writer and/or about one of his/her characters!
One of the first writers I got to know when I came to LJ and House MD fandom, an excellent writer in House MD and Dr. Who/Torchwood. Look for her fic Right Here
The character I'd like to talk about is Sherlock Holmes. Her Holmes is the first I'd read in a fanfic setting and it made a tremendous impression on me, for catching the language of Doyle and the slashy sensuality between Holmes and Watson that I didn't even know I wanted to read. And this was a good three or four years before Downey and Law took ALL the sub out of the text and basically made it canon.
I've read some good post-Downey Holmes-fic, but it all feels like Downey rather than Holmes. When I read Haldane, I feel like I'm reading Holmes. I commend all her work to you. Unfortunately she has chosen to remove a lot of it from the public reading space, but if you go through her fic journal, I'm sure you'll find something to your liking and you'll see that her her Holmes work is impeccable.
